Struggling to Stay cool

  • Watching: One Piece, Air Gear
  • Playing: ...Lotsa games.... WoW, Disgaea 3, etc...
  • Eating: Your mom
  • Drinking: Your mom
Damn... since I got laid off late january, I've maybe done..... 5-10 pics? I dunno. I'm just really uinspired lately. suffering a massive art block which may actually be caused by the stress I'm going through right now. No job, living on unemployment while I job hunt, worse still, everyone in the house has decided to move out (first mom left, then my sis and I decided we didn't want to share a place with a room mate), leaving me with figuring out how I'm gonna find a decent place that can acccept me only being able to pay up to $300 a month... Really, I'm just parinoid I'll end up with a dick room mate who jacks my rare games and sels 'em.... though considering how big I am, I doubt anyone would be that stupid.... If all else fails, my options are to live with my friend and his mom, or to temporarily stay with my mom in her cabin in the mountains. There's no way I'm gonna move in with my dad in maryland, though, he lives in a shitty neiborhood O_o;

Bro, sorry to hear that man. That rather sucks but I really do hope that things turn around for you. I know it sucks being on a job hunt while on Unemployment. I went through that not so long ago but I was able to get a job. You may be lucky and get one yourself. Who knows?

All I can really say is either go with a staffing agency or lower your standards and accept any job that lets you get your foot in the door. I did and I've held my current job for about a month now.

eh my standards are pretty low at this point. though I refuse to work at a call center (I'm epileptic and my last experience was horrifying) and fast food....

I'm pretty much looking into grocery stores tomorrow.

I lucked out this time around and got a 3rd shift clerk job at a gas station. I honestly think I'd be drowning in self-loathing if I went back to McDonald's and begged for my job back (seeing as I had been fired over a year ago).

now that I think of it, I'd also like to avoid working as a parking attendant.... much as I enjoyed the freee time, the co-workers and customers were dicks >:/

Meh heh heh... Guess I got a sweet gig then. I work 9 hours a night, yes, but that translates into 5 hours guaranteed overtime a week. And the customers are okay. I haven't been cussed out or mugged yet. The only downside is that I'm expected to clean the entire store, which is hard sometimes when the customers start flooding.
