i doubt you can play in sleep mode i think its more that the screen turns off while the computer is closed
:iconkonekoryu:
y'mean you didn't have to set anything up first?

Yeah, "sleep" means that the computer's entire state's been frozen and stored in memory. Just tell your laptop not to go to sleep when you close the lid, and whatever it's doing when you close the lid will keep happening, including playing music.

I think with sleep mode it's impossible. I think you're thinking of just having the computer stay awake after you close it. ^_^ That can be changed in your settings. I'd tell you where, but it's different for each OS.

You can play the music with the lid close, but not on sleep mode. That's all I know.

You can't do that in sleep mode. In sleep mode you suspend your OS in a sleep state but it will stop everything even your music program. If you want to hear music with the monitor screen off then you can set your power settings so that your monitor turns off after a minute or so. You can also set that your computer stays on with the lid closed so that the music continues to play.

You really think so? You're too kind.
:iconkonekoryu:
ah ok, I'd asked another friend and, apperantly, it is possible, but it depends on a certain music program that activates before the Winows OS does. still... thanks for your help, I guess I gotta make sure the thing's plugged in whenever I wanna sleep with musi goin'
